Vijay thanks Narendra Modi and also places his request

The recent incidents involving five Tamil fishermen in Sri Lanka have attracted widespread attention. They had been given a death sentence by the Sri Lankan government and the subsequent intervention of the Indian government has resulted in their pardoning by Sri Lankan President.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay had sent a thanksgiving letter to the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and has lauded his efforts in saving the five fishermen. He also mentions in his letter that not only the families of the fishermen are happy about this but the entire Tamil Nadu is much elated about their freeing.

He has also requested Modi to take efforts to have measures and means wherein the fishermen can fearlessly go in to the sea and continue with fishing as this is their livelihood. Quite a thoughtful plea indeed!
